Monica’s interior design journey began as a side job over a decade ago with designing homes for a custom home development company in Colorado. Over the years, she has passionately spearheaded many home renovations and space planning projects for a wide variety of residential projects. From historic properties to mountain retreats, her designs resemble an essence of earthy elegance and playful sophistication.
She creatively introduces family heirlooms and sentimental pieces into a design that is reflective of their life journey. Every project begins with a comprehensive interview to develop a thorough understanding of who they are and how they use and relate to their home. This initial phase yields a design concept that is authentic to each member of the family and allows for more connected design execution where every detail adds an aesthetic value or serves a purpose of functionality. Highly attentive to her client’s lifestyle and specific requests, she enjoys offering design ideas to help her clients feel more connected with their personal environments.
Virtually able to conceptualize spaces with various design outcomes, color schemes and layouts; she is passionate about first designing spaces in her mind before making them a reality. Often while daydreaming, she is recreating experiential scenarios to optimize the functionality of the space as it relates to her clients. Her unique visual acuity gives her an edge for reworking floor plans that intuitively recreate new flows of energy using colors, textures and lighting varieties to achieve a specific mood and tell a story.
